Problem / Empathy
After surgery, a stroke, or a serious fall, the last thing you want to do is haul your loved one in and out of a car for therapy three times a week. Hospital and clinic-based therapy is exhausting, and missed appointments slow recovery. In-home therapy fixes that — same licensed clinicians, same evidence-based protocols, delivered in the place your recovery actually happens.

Who We Care For
The Aging Parent Who Refuses to Leave Home
Mom or Dad is slipping — you know it, the doctor knows it, and your siblings know it. Assisted living is an option nobody in the family actually wants. A 24-hour caregiver means a trained professional is always there: watching for falls, helping with meals, managing meds, and giving you the chance to be a son or daughter again instead of a 24/7 on-call nurse.
Post-Hospital Discharge That Came Too Fast
The hospital is ready to discharge but your loved one isn’t ready to be alone. Around-the-clock home care fills the gap between discharge and full recovery — with licensed caregivers, RN oversight, and continuity of care that reduces 30-day readmission risk.
Dementia, Sundowning, or Wandering Risk
Nights are the hard part. Someone who sleeps with one eye open costs the rest of the family their sleep too. A dementia-experienced overnight caregiver keeps doors locked, toileting safe, and the household calm so the rest of the family can function.

Why Families Choose Focus Family Care
Florida-Licensed & Medicare-Certified
Focus Family Care is licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and certified by Medicare. You’ll never wonder whether your care meets state and federal standards.
Care Starts In 24–48 Hours
Most families call us in a moment of crisis — after a hospital discharge, a fall, or a sudden diagnosis. We move fast: in most cases an RN visits within 24 hours and care begins within 48.
The Same Caregiver Every Visit
Continuity matters. We assign the same nurse, therapist, or aide to your loved one whenever possible — building trust, consistency, and better clinical outcomes.
RN-Built Care Plans
Every patient gets a personalized plan of care developed by a registered nurse — not a one-size-fits-all schedule. Plans are reviewed and updated as needs change.
Multilingual Care Team
Our caregivers speak English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole — important in a multicultural region like South Florida where comfort and trust depend on being understood.
We Verify Your Insurance For Free
Don’t guess what’s covered. Call us with your insurance card and we’ll verify your benefits at no cost — Medicare, Medicaid, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross, VA, and most private plans.
How To Get Started
Step 1
Call or request a callback
Reach out by phone at (561) 693-1311 or fill out the short form on this page. A care coordinator picks up — not a call center.
Step 2
Free in-home assessment
An RN visits your home (or your loved one’s home) at no charge. We discuss medical needs, daily routines, family preferences, language, and schedule.
Step 3
Custom care plan & caregiver match
Your RN builds a written plan of care. We hand-pick a caregiver matched to your loved one’s clinical needs, personality, and language — and introduce them to you before care begins.
Step 4
Care begins — usually within 24-48 hours
Most new patients start receiving care within 1-2 days of the assessment. Your care coordinator stays in regular contact to make sure everything is going well.

FAQ
01How much does 24-hour home care cost in South Florida?
Private-pay 24-hour rates in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade typically range from $28-$38 per hour, or about $26,000-$28,000 per month. With Medicare, Medicaid, LTC insurance, or VA benefits, your out-of-pocket can drop by 30-80%. We give you an exact rate — in writing — at the free RN assessment.
02How fast can 24-hour home care start?
Most Focus Family Care 24-hour plans start within 24-48 hours of the free RN assessment. Same-day starts are possible for post-hospital discharge when we have advance notice.
03What's the difference between 24-hour care and live-in care?
24-hour care uses two awake caregivers per 24-hour period, ensuring someone is always alert. Live-in care is a single caregiver who sleeps in the home and is available for 2-3 wakings per night. Live-in is less expensive but is only appropriate for clients who sleep through the night.
04Will the same caregiver come every shift?
Yes — caregiver continuity is one of the most important predictors of client satisfaction and safety. Your plan is built around a primary caregiver for each shift, with back-up caregivers introduced in advance so there are no strangers in your home if someone is out sick.
05Is Focus Family Care licensed and insured?
Yes. Focus Family Care is an AHCA-licensed Home Health Agency, Medicare-certified, and all caregivers are bonded, insured, background-checked, and drug-screened. The agency carries liability and workers’ comp coverage on behalf of all staff.
06Do you speak Spanish or Haitian Creole?
Yes — intake and caregivers are available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
